Turó Big cats

Three images of Big Cats created by pupils of 5th and 6th Primary using 2b and 4b drawing pencils.
We started off with photos of Lions and Tigers. These were arranged into templates so that all of the children had a specific part of the drawing to complete. The most demanding task is to make each drawing link up effectively with the drawings surrounding it both in details and tone.I was particularly happy with the results this year. Congratulations to all the students of 5th and 6th!

Christmas Party scene decoration

Christmas Scene decoration for the school party.

This year the story revolved around the fourth King..Meliabar....

In the scenery I tried to incorporate the main themes of the Play with the idea that they all travelled  very far and that Meliabar was always trying to catch up with the other Kings. The painting tries to be bold and simplistic so as to provide a uniform backdrop without taking away the limelight from the real protagonists of the show...the pupils!!!!!!

Georgia O'Keefe inspired Mural

This work was completed by the pupils of 5th and 6th Primary in their classes of Artistic Education. It is based on the work of American Artist Georgia O'Keefe and was painted using Tempura colour.
Georgia O'Keefe painted large bold pictures which used a simplistic technique to achieve iconic images which are both beautiful and pleasing.
Each of the students was given a section as their own...and had to work cooperatively with his colleagues in order to match lines, colours and tones.....The result is a fantastic achievement of which they can all be proud.
